Bath Time

Tonight we gave Helayna her first bath, we were prepared for some crying. We were surprised when she slept through it, although thats par for the course with her, so far.

Our friends, Mike and Lisa Ostenson, stopped by today to visit and bring us some left over birthday cake (Happy belated Birthday Mike).  Don't they look good with a baby (wink wink nudge nudge).   No Mike doesn't work at Lion's Tap, but he is a ringer for the softball team.

Janel couldn't resist buying a gender specific sleeper while on a routine Target run.  

Faces of Helayna

Either she's smiling at us or else she just passed gas.   My money is on the second one.

You may have noticed that her face has filled out, she gained a quarter pound in weight and a quarter inch in height.  She's growing so fast.  Her pediatrician gave her an A+, all systems go.  She's so advanced.

Here are pictures of the nursery that Janel worked hard on putting together.  She did a lot of hand painting and sewing, very crafty.

Sixth Day

Well, Helayna is six days old and I would be lying if I said that it has been easy.  Its been the most exciting, exhausting and scary six days of my life.  She's doing great, eating and sleeping well.  Feeding is a little bit tough, she wants to sleep through everything, similar to her parents.  A sleeping baby isn't something to complain about.  Here are some more pictures, Mormor and Morfar (my mother and step dad).

Homeward Bound

Janel and Helayna just got the all clear to go home.  This morning the pediatrician diagnosed Helayna with being Perfect; at least someone else agrees with us, thats not related to us.   She had a professional photo shoot this morning, I'll post the slide show as soon as I figure out how to do it.  Stay tuned.

Introducing Helayna Maureen

Last night at 8:23 pm, Janel gave birth to Helayna Maureen.  She weighed 6 lb 15 oz and is 19.5 inches long with a 13.5 inch head (obviously she did not inherit my large cranium).  She has brown hair and is a good sleeper, so far.  Both mom and baby are doing well.  We'll post pictures as soon as we can.

Still waiting. Marvin and Peepers wait patiently for the Nugget.
